Brief Introduction

　　Guangdong Overseas Construction Group Co., LTD (hereinafter called The Overseas Group), approved by Guangdong Provincial People’s Government, was set up in June, 2000 comprising several provincial specialized construction and real estate development companies under the leadership of Xin Guang International Group Ltd. The Overseas Group is a large engineering contracting and investment enterprise and one of the leading enterprises by organizing the provincial design and construction unit to develop the international construction market. The Group Company’s main business scope covers engineering contracting and project investment in and out of China, real estate development, import and export business, etc. It holds the first grade qualification approved by the Ministry of Construction for general contracting on building construction including foundation and base, architectural ornament and decoration, machinery and electrical equipment installation; the second grade qualification for municipal engineering contracting, hydroelectric and irrigation works and real estate development. Meanwhile, it is authorized by the Ministry of Commerce with the qualification of import & export of commodities and technology, international human resources service and engineering contracting abroad; and grade A for economic aid projects to foreign countries. The Overseas Group Company now has about 23380 employees including more than 2000 technical and management personnel who have various professional titles in engineering, economics and etc. The total assets of the company is 1.5 billion RMB. The maximum annual construction output amounted over 2 billion RMB. It has been awarded the title of “A A A Credit Grade and Faithful Enterprise” continuously for three years, and passed the system verification of IS9001, ISO14001, OHSAS18001.
    Based on the domestic market, the Overseas Group Company has accomplished all kinds of construction and installation projects valued around 12 billion RMB. For instance: Phase I of Xinghai Conservatory of Music, Guangzhou University Town was awarded with Gold prize, the group was therefore awarded with “2004 Advanced Unit of Provincial Major Project”; Dong Hu Imperial Garden, architectural area of 140 thousand square meters(48 storeys), is the highest reinforced concrete residential building in China; The Inner Ring Expressway in Guangzhou(Lot A 2.6), the Sewage Water Treatment Plant in Lie De Guangzhou city and Xili Reservoir Dam Strengthening Project in Shenzhen were all awarded with the title of Excellent Model Project in Guangzhou city and Guangdong province; The Guangzhou Mails Exchange Center was awarded with “Guangdong Excellent Model Project” and “Scientific and Technical Example Project” by using new workmanship, new design and new equipment; Hunan international Exhibition Center and Wenzhou Broadcasting and Television Center were awarded with “Lu Ban” prize; Key and large projects such as An Xin Building, Canada Garden, Tingtao Yayuan, Overseas Garden, Chunjiang Garden, Manhattan Plaza, American Banking Center, Outpatient Building of Southern Hospital in Guangzhou and Furong Building in Hunan province, Phase Ⅱ of Guangzhou Foreign Language & Foreign Trade University Project in Guangzhou University Town, The Mechanical and Electrical Installation Project of Guangdong Science Center are the monuments in the history of the company’s development.
    Based on expanding traditional construction business and insisting on market orientation, Overseas Group has opened up the investment of public service and foundation establishment with total amount over 1.2 billion RMB. As the first construction company in Guangdong province to invest in environment protection industry by BOT basis, Overseas Group has invested 100 million RMB to Gaoming Sewage Water Treatment Plant, and this project has now been put into operation with excellent market future. The train project form Xiaoyi to Binzhou Lot in Shandong province which invested by Overseas Group, is the first project in the train investment history of China to combine the government and enterprise investment together by BOT mode, and it is also the first double pass bridge for high way and train line across the Yellow River within Shandong province.
    As for the development of foreign market, the Group has branch companies in Hong Kong and Macao, and holds the highest C grade qualification issued by Hong kong Special Administration Region Government for municipal engineering, canal works and private building. The Group has expanded its business to Africa, East and South Asia, Middle East and etc.. The group has successively undertaken the following projects such as International Center in Macao, Yuehai Mansion in Thailand, Xin Cheng Restaurant, Commercial and Residential Building in Xinwanhe Street of Hong kong, Rilu Garden in Macao, Pakistan Plant Inspection and Quarantine Project, Bangladesh Knitting Factory, Dodoma Water Supply Project in Tanzania, Agriculture Technical Co-operation Project in St. Lucia, Sipan(US) Vila Project and etc. Overseas Group’s annual turnover abroad is always listing in first place in Guangdong province. The group was awarded with Yearly Special Prize for Foreign Project Contracting issued by China International Contractors Association. It makes outstanding contribution to the development of international project contracting of Guangdong province.
